Vicki Allen-Hitt

Vicki and her husband, Jim Hitt, moved to Hemet in July 2006. Before that, she taught history, psychology and sociology for 25 years in Simi Valley.

She graduated from California Lutheran University with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and became a licensed MFT in California. She used art therapy to help her to better understand the inner-workings of her patients, especially children.

After retiring, she returned to college to study art. She works in all mediums, although primarily in pastels and acrylics. She enjoys photography and uses many of her photos as references for paintings. She is also an active member of the Diamond Valley Writers’ Guild.

She’s active in the 4 Seasons Book Club, past chairperson of the Art League, member of the New Media Art Group. Her husband and she have two critique writing groups in their home.

Building textures and experiencing with new mediums keeps her excited about art in which the possibilities are endless. Color is at the core of every piece of art she creates. Recently, started making jewelry and decorative tiles. Her goal is to create art that will stimulate the curiosity of the viewer.

Her works has been on exhibit in three galleries in the Riverside area.

Alison Wieman

I have lived in the Four Seasons Community since 2015. After raising kids, retiring from teaching, and caring for my husband who passed of ALS, I had the time and energy to resume my childhood passion of creating art. Since then I have painted almost daily, mostly in oils, but also am experimenting with pastel and plein art painting.

I am a board member of the Hemet Valley Art Association, a member of the Idyllwild Art Alliance, as well as a Paint and Sip instructor here at Four Seasons. My work is on display at the Hemet Valley Art Gallery on Harvard St.

My hope for this website is to create a space where artists can connect and get acquainted with others who enjoy art in our community.

Some of us, who have managed to stay connected via Zoom throughout this pandemic, have started to meet in person again. The plan is to have an open studio time, in the Arts & Craft room, on Monday mornings from 10-1. It will be a time to meet and paint with fellow residents. Just come down with your materials and join us. It is not a class, although it is always inspiring to paint with others and see what they are doing. There will be no obligation to “attend”, just when you are free for the morning. Hope to see you soon!

Ever since childhood I have enjoyed making/doing things with my hands!  I have dabbled in many different areas.  Even though I still have many interests I have zeroed in on painting and beading and have taught classes at Four Seasons for 10 years.  I have enjoyed every minute of teaching!!  It warms my heart and gives me great pride to share my knowledge and passions with others.

Now all I need is more days in the week and more hours in the day!!
